- We're not part of the RIAA. If you're
boycotting, this is a "safe" album.
- We put 14 songs on the record, plus
one spoken word track, to give people an incentive to buy the
whole thing instead of single tracks.
- Autotune was not used. We didn't need
no stinking Autotune.
- We actually sang and played all the
parts.
- We
recorded the album in a 16' x 8' shed
and broke several other fundamental studio rules.
- Recording took four afternoons; one
weekend in Nov. 2008, another in Feb. 2009
- George mixed it in his living room using
ProTools LE 5.1.
- On a 366 MHz, beige G3 Mac running system
9.2.2.
Reviews
"I think it's pretty amazing that
a bunch of guys in their 30s and 40s can make music that people
my age can still like."
Favorite Songs: "Dear Lord" (for
the double guitar lead); "From Dusk to Dark to Dawn"
(it mentions Arizona), and "You'll See" (she was there
when we recorded the rhythm tracks, which she found to be severely
boring, and was surprised to find out what it turned into).
