Carl's beginnings as a performer seem to come from the 80s, when he fronted several metal bands in and around Sarasota, Florida.

One of the more successful was Alias, which rocked Sarasota from 1985 to 1988. As Carl recalls, "We had the biggest crowd of all the bands around, besides the signed bands." Although he can't remember the name of the club they most often played at, "it was in downtown Sarasota, right next to the police station."

We found copies of Alias' Metal to Infinity recording at Vibrations of Doom, with downloads.

Carl's Guitar Rig

Carl's set-up consists of a Marshall head and a Mesa Boogie 412 cabinet, combined with a Behringer GX212 amp/cab. He plays a Stratocaster. And he's got 5 or 6 stomp boxes.
