Eddie Rabbit

Riverside Resort
Laughlin, NV

As I recall, Eddie Rabbit had a very solid set of well-written country songs, many of which were crossover into the pop arena. "I Love a Rainy Night" was probably his biggest hit and the live show called for strobe lights for a lightning effect. For a country act, this was actually pretty over the top at the time.

I was just hanging around during set-up. At one point, I did a check on his mic. It was so hot that I'm surprised simple air movement didn't send it into feedback.

"Holy shit! This thing is incredibly fucking loud."

Eddie was stepping up to the stage. "It better be."
